This version of Khusrau's Gazal sung by Chhaya Ganguli has some differences of terms/words with the one sung by Ghulam Ali. I like this version a lot more. Meraz-e-Ghazal has a special place among Asha's non-film efforts and also in Ghulam Ali's. This seems another of those ghazals that were originally sung by Noor Jehan and which Asha versioned in an album named 'Kashish'. However, I don't know if a Noor Jehan version of it really exists. The ghazal has been included in a compilation of Asha's non-film songs/ghazals named 'Diva' and is also available on musicindiaonline.com. Another exquisite Nazar Hussain composition. Enjoy! गायिका:

Rendered and composed by two "Ustaads" from Jaipur, it's one of my favorite ghazals. I'll start with an old favorite that is interestingly conceived and superbly composed. It is essentially a merger of two different ghazals that have the same "zameen" (meter and rhyme).
